Francesco Passiglia
Dr. Passiglia is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at the Department of Oncology of the University of Turin, Italy.

Clinical focus and interest:

Dr. Passiglia’s research focuses on thoracic malignancies, with a special interest in genomic biomarkers and molecular resistance to targeted therapies in oncogene-addicted NSCLC; liquid biopsy and circulating biomarkers and lung cancer screening.

Experience:

Dr. Passiglia serves as Associate Professor of Oncology at the University of Turin and as a thoracic oncologist at San Luigi Hospital (Orbassano, Turin). Since 2019, he has served as the scientific secretary of the AIOM lung cancer guidelines, and since 2023, he has been a member of the educational committee of the IASLC. Dr Passiglia received several awards, including the IASLC Career Advancement Grant in 2025. Dr Passiglia is a principal or co-investigator in over 50 national and international lung cancer clinical trials. He has authored or co-authored over 120 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
