William William
Dr. William is the National Leader for Thoracic Oncology and the National Co-Leader for Head and Neck Oncology at Oncoclínicas, Brazil.

Clinical focus and interest:

Dr. William has expertise in the prevention and treatment of upper aerodigestive tract malignancies, and his research focus is on immunotherapy and targeted therapies in NSCLC and HNSCC.

Experience:

Dr. William graduated with a medical degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He later completed a fellowship in medical oncology at Hospital Sirio Libanes in São Paulo, Brazil, and research and clinical fellowships at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he served for 12 years in the Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology. He has led many clinical and translational research initiatives in the prevention and treatment of lung and head and neck cancers, and authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Affiliations:

Amongst many professional memberships and activities, he is Chair of the Latin American Cooperative Oncology Group (LACOG) Head and Neck Section, a member of the LACOG Thoracic Oncology Steering Committee, a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology, and a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Group of Thoracic Oncology and the Brazilian Group of Head and Neck Oncology. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre.
